As I have said Victor was a great guy. He was about 22 younger than us but growing up in Hells Kitchen left him wise beyond his years. I don't think I ever saw him in a bad mood. He was most always smiling maybe getting out of the hood and getting his health back was what he needed. I always considered him intelligent, witty, with a great sense of humor. We would be walking through a field and I would say, "Hey Vic you see that green stuff growing on the ground? Its called grass."
He came back with "No kidding, I've seen it before it's the stuff that comes up through the cracks in the sidewalk in New York City."
He pulled his share of work and drank his share of beer just like the rest of us. Never a complaint.
Well for some reason Jack White and everybody took a shine to Victor. I think he was their favorite.
